Dear friends,
The Christmas season has been over for some time and now spring is here. Since the last time we wrote to you we had a successful tour, although a bit shorter than usual, during November, in the west part of Sweden. Also in Romania we had great opportunities at different companies, to sell our products. We had many guests visiting us in December and sales from our shop were very good. Our friends in England also had some Christmas fayres and sold well.
We are now also on Instagram and we would like you to join us there on sunflowerdesignromania. Don’t forget that you find us on Facebook as well on Sunflower Design Romania. There we regularly update and post our new products and let you know what is happening in our team as well. We are now also working to update our website.
Recently two of our overlock sewing machines broke down and it seems the costs to repair are expensive, as they are also very old. We decided to start to collect money for a new industrial overlock machine. This is much stronger than what we had before. The cost for a new machine of this type is around 750€ and we believe it will be reachable with your support. Some new products for this year are hoodies and jumpers for children and adults, and aprons in denim. We have also started this year to make curtains and sheets for Caminul Felix hotel. For curtains we have been able to use fabric from a bigger role, which we received from Sweden last year. Thank you to all our friends, private donors and second-hand shops who send material to us. It helps us to keep our expenses down.
There are some different tours to raise funds for Caminul Felix Romania and Thailand this spring, and as usual they take some of our products and sell for us. Soon we are expecting some friends from England and they have placed a huge order for 100 tea towels with Christmas embroidery and some bags.
It is good to plan ahead and we are now also able to offer you, Second Hand shops and companies, the possibility to do the same. We challenge you like Mölndal Second Hand store to place your orders NOW for Christmas gifts for your employees, volunteers and friends. We can also wrap it nicely if you want this service. Don’t hesitate to contact us when we can discuss and suggest some products, to lessen your stress in the lead up to Christmas. At the same time you will be supporting the youth from Caminul Felix to have a job, a salary, and support to live an independent life.
